Algunas reflexiones sobre la traducción como representación

Este artículo explora la función de la traducción como representación. Apoyándose en la semiótica peirceana, argumenta a favor de una traducción que actúa como una reflexión interpretativa, un interpretante que determina las relaciones entre el signo y su objeto. A continuación, analiza el aspecto causal e icónico de estas relaciones e intenta ilustrar las funciones de la iconicidad diagramática, especialmente con el paradigma cognitivo y sus efectos en los procesos de traducción. Centrándose en los géneros literarios y más específicamente en el poético, pero sin proponerse una dicotomía entre géneros literarios y no literarios, provee pautas a seguir conforme la naturaleza de la traducción con fundamento en la teoría.
